Why does it only start on day 1978?
The old Wordpress-based website broke at some point in the four years between the Trump terms, while I wasn't paying close attention because I thought it wasn't needed anymore. (And honestly I thought it would be more robust.) I didn't get around to reviving it sooner because of personal reasons, and honestly, general frustration with the state of the world and having to do this again.
Are the old posts coming back?
Yes. I have backups and am keeping an eye on the Bear roadmap, hoping for those migration tools to be ready soon, so I don't have to import ~2000 posts by hand. Until then I’ll be re-uploading some of the more essential stuff manually.
Your hair has been growing for almost 10 years? But Trump hasn't been in office the entire time.
No. I shaved it off the day of the Biden Inauguration, let it regrow, so at the start of Trumps 2nd term it was back to the same length it had before I cut it all off.
You knew Trump was going to come back, or at least speculated he would?
Nah, that was just dumb (bad) luck. After almost five years of not having to make any haircut decisions I wasn't sure what to do with my hair and figured I'd just let it grow until inspiration strikes... it simply never did.
What about the beard you had the first time around?
Well, I did shave during those four years, so beard gone and glad I'm not doing that again.
